All files marked for backup are encrypted before being transmitted to our data centers. Utilizing AES-256 AES encryption all of your files are transmitted safely and securely across the Internet and stored on our servers in their encrypted format. Only you have the unique security key to decrypt your files. Not even the employee’s at iShelter have the ability to decrypt your files!

Every file stored at our primary data center is replicated to our secondary site, which happens to be thousands of miles apart.

Our data centers are geographically disbursed by design. No floods, fires, power outages, or other catastrophic events will stop you from being able to backup or restore your files. In addition we also take the physical security of these sites as serious as we take the security of your transmitted files. Our data centers have biometric controlled access to control who goes in and out as well as 24x7x365 security monitoring. In addition, each data center has multiple connections to the Internet from different providers, are connected to each other with private high-speed fiber links, contain locomotive engine size diesel generators, and data friendly fire suppression systems.

Support for MS Exchange & SQL Servers

Backing up MS Exchange and SQL servers is fully supported by the iShelter service. iShelter offers additional plug-ins to our service that allows you to take advantage of backing up open files, such as your Exchange storage system or your SQL Database.

Just like traditional backup software we let you choose what to backup and restore. Select individual files, folders, and even mapped network drives.

Archive you files for as long as you need them. iShelter backup services can provide offsite storage for all your archived files. When you need them, simply restore them!

iShelter can backup up your file system regardless of its size.

If you have a large backup, we will simply provide you with a local USB attached drive for your initial backup. Just like the online solution all files are encrypted when they are stored on the local drive. After the initial backup, overnight ship the drive to us, and we will move the stored files to the online service. Your online backup will then start uploading the bit level changes to your files.
